sorry Clive. My focus got too much sucked in by that spinning car that I got out of shape myself (too slow decellarating).
Still I managed to get to the innermost side to leave maximum room and we almost made it through but then GPL decided in the last moment "you know what, I'll mix them together anyway"... wütend

I lost alot of time but despite of driving behind the field the rest of the race was still a delightful "drive through the greens" lachen

No grip at the first corner. This ends Stefan's race and puts me last - not a safe place to be.

I messed up my first out lap in qualifying so I had to do it over again.
Had one good flying lap which I felt i could do better. I pushed on and was making improvement until the back-end went loose past Höhe Acht.
So I had settle for 2nd.

For the first lap I tried to pass Paul which was tough. We had a few thrilling sie-by-side moment, inclusing one through Tiergarten, but no contact freuen

Eventually i got past when I had a moment of better preserved brakes.
After that i just disappeared from the horizon and took 1st.

Grats to finishers and Paul for the championship.

GPL is a drug. And I'm an addict.

Was close that my race ended on the beginning of the first lap. Started with my own mistake when I got wide at Metzgerfeld, spinning right in front of Charles. Got going again only to see a stationary Pavel after a blind right turn at Wehrseifen. Could not avoid the car and hit him hard with my left front wheel. Thought that our races was over but luckily we both could continue and finish the race. After that I had a pretty stable race with around 10 seconds distance to the drivers ahead and behind.
Was off in T2 on the last lap but I only lost some time there.

I thought that the whole world had gone mad!

After passing Stefan's wreckage at T1, I negotiated T2 without incident. However, when I lifted and started to change down for T3 a Lancia outbraked me, and himself, on the way to the corner. The Lancia ended up on the grass bank and I was trying to give him room to recover when you struck!

I had no idea that you had thrown your car at me until the impact as there was nobody to the inside of me when I turned in and after that my mirrors were aimed elsewhere.

It certainly wasn't the calm and carefully considered start to a tricky PRO race that I was expecting from everyone.

Perhaps this track isn't suitable for Pro mode unless you are an alien!

I'm sorry you did not start at the front. Less chance of trouble, and anger. traurig I've not demanded an apology after my race was also ended, next corner.

I registered to race - Lancia at 10.01. E-mail not given to John, as old one was shown on the forum. This invites SPAM - Vorsicht!

This was a test race for me. Connection/framerate problems last year in traffic, but a new connection this year. Test results : Uncertain after only 2 corners! I think this mystery will be a long one.

You don`t need to be sorry that I did not start at the front. That was my fault, not yours. But it was your fault that has taken me out of the race.

You my not demand an apology that your race was ended, but I do.
At the last 65 race I crashed into Petr and guess what I have done when we met in iGOR chat and also posted on the forum, I said sorry. The least thing I can do. That is usual behavior.

How many laps have you done with the 55 cars at the Nürburgring? How much time did you invest on testing and setup adjustment for this race? For me it was not just a test race. It was a race for which I had invested time for practice and setup adjustments. And this takes much time at the Nürburgring.
I know that there can always happen an accident and it was not your intention to hit anyone, but at least you can say "sorry".

Forget it.
Let`s move on the the next race.
I will just try to stay out of your way when we meet on track again. And if we ever should collide again I will expect nothing. zwinkern

For comparison: I did - as an exception zwinkern - actually practice 2 laps on Saturday. Then 2 laps Quali and off you go! cool
(Presupposition: Of course one would know the track by heart, otherwise any mod is very tricky here.. *)

if anything I'd say it was rather easier (for me) than with the 67s due to (imho) better grip&reaction-time ratio (well... one could argue it's because of the slow Connaught..? lol)

Also mind I said easiER, not easy.

as a sidenote:
aside of a very few laps I never actually practiced to learn the track.
I went to the races and was 'learning by doing' [well, how do you think the real racers learned it? I myself by now did dozens of more laps then say Sir Surtees in his whole life!], similar to yesterday. After about 2 races + Long Night of the Ring per year (I think I only arrived once freuen ), I knew it by heart and once you SUDDENLY do it becomes relatively easy to navigate through the green hell.
(not that I wouldn't crash anymore freuen but that has more to do with my lack of ability )

Same here. The 55mod is probably easier at Nurburgring than some other mods because it is slower and more forgiving.

55mod has bad brakes but there is an indicator to say when you have less braking so no excuses there.


In this race I had some good racing with Yannick in the first lap, but with the Championship in mind I did not want another DNF. So when Yannick passed me on lap 2 I decided to back off a bit and take the points.
Charles kept me honest for the closing laps but I kept enough of a gap and came home 2nd.

Grats Yannick and Charles for the podiums.

Well done all that finished. Bad luck those that were caught up in other peoples mistakes.

Very good racing yesterday.

I had a good battle for 3rd with Anders, Bastian and Uli, but I managed to keep it after they had their own spins on lap 2.

From then on I was trying to improve my PB just for fun. Even though I closed some gap to Paul, it wasn't enough to get the 2nd. I was not going for it anyway lachen

Grats Paul for the championship and podium.

Thanks to admins for everything.

first I could not manage to start practice just in time
from last place to 5th and then accident at fuchsröhre/adenauerforst
I‘m very disappointed
but after a 2 hour autobahn ride back from a birthday party, it was no good idea to start here
Sunday is not a good date for racing to me
nevertheless looking forward to next, last race
